DIRECTORY TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions are an addendum to the DesiUstad Common Terms & Conditions. They apply specifically to the Business Directory services and must be read together with the Common Terms. They clarify obligations, responsibilities, and liabilities related to the Directory.

1. Directory Listings & Accuracy

Users must provide truthful, complete, and updated information about their business, services, and legal registrations. Misleading, false, or incomplete listings are strictly prohibited.

2. Content Ownership & Display

All listings remain the property of their owners. By using the Directory, users grant DesiUstad a non-exclusive license to display, promote, and share listings across the platform. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for insights and analytics.

3. User Responsibilities

Users must comply with applicable Indian laws, including GST, Companies Act, and industry-specific licenses. Listings must be updated promptly, and sensitive or confidential information should not be shared publicly.

4. Interactions Between Users

The Directory facilitates discovery and contact between businesses, suppliers, and buyers. DesiUstad does not mediate or guarantee any transactions. Users are solely responsible for all agreements and dealings.

5. Featured Listings & Payments

Paid or promoted listings are subject to specific payment terms. DesiUstad is not liable for failed transactions or disputes arising from business engagements.

6. Prohibited Listings & Activities

Users must not:
• List illegal, fraudulent, or banned activities
• Impersonate another business or individual
• Upload defamatory, obscene, or misleading content
• Manipulate ranking, visibility, or analytics

7. Directory Data & Privacy

Information in the Directory may be publicly visible and searchable. Users should avoid uploading private or sensitive data. DesiUstad may use anonymized data to improve the platform and for marketing purposes.

8. Liability & Indemnification

DesiUstad is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or legality of listings, or for disputes between users. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless DesiUstad, its affiliates, and representatives against any claims arising from directory usage.

9. Termination of Directory Access

DesiUstad may suspend or remove listings, or terminate user access for violations of these Terms or applicable laws. Prior obligations remain enforceable.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

The Directory and these Terms are governed by Indian law. All disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
